Millars Plumbing is a family business started by the late Alan and Graeme in 1984. Prior to that it was D R Insall & Son, where Alan & Graeme, completed their Apprenticeship and both worked until buying the business.

Millars Plumbing & Drainlaying has 3 staff members: Graeme, the owner who is certified in plumbing, gasfitting, and drainlaying; Gordon, certified in plumbing and drainlaying; and Sam, a 4th-year apprentice in plumbing, gasfitting, and drainlaying. The business is situated at 120-122 Main Street, Otautau.
